ORIGIN: Found in Guatemala in mixed forests at elevations of 1200 to 2800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte with simple, terete, erect stems and carrying 3 to 5, distichous, all along the stem, subcoriaceous, linear-elliptic, unequally bilobed, margin entire leaves that blooms in the late spring through mid fall on a terminal, racemose, occurring only once, distichous, erect, zig-zag, laterally compressed, ancipitose, several to many flowered inflorescence arising on a mature growth, with as long as the ovary, long-triangular, conduplicate, spreading not imbricating floral bracts and carrying 8 to 14, successively opening, to 5 open at a time, secund, green flowers with the sepals somewhat tinged with purple.
