ORIGIN: Found in Narino Colombia on the Galeras volcano at elevations around 3200 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with cane-like, branched, terete, thin, erect, main stem long, the apparently shorter branches arise form the apical internodes of the stem carrying 4, on the branches, unequal, on the upper half of the stem, narrowly lanceolate, acute apically leaves that blooms in the winter on a terminal, occurring only once, on a mature stem, racemose, arching, nutant, [2.3 cm] long including the .12 [3 mm] long thin, terete peduncle, and the terete, thin rachis, simultaneously to 10 flowered inflorescence with as long as the ovary, narrowly lanceolate, long acuminate, progressively shorter floral bracts and carrying resupinate, white flowers tinged with purple.
