ORIGIN: Found in Antioquia Colombia on the northern slope of the Cordillera Central at elevations of 200 to 800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, basally terete, laterally compressed above stems carrying 10, all along the stem, alternate, articulate, suberect, elliptic, acuminate, margin entire leaves that blooms on a terminal, erect, racemose at first flowering, new racemes produced successively from the old, distichous, peduncle to 8 [20 cm] long, laterally compressed, enveloped completely by tubular, scarious sheaths, rachis 2 [5 cm] long, to 10 [25 cm] long overall, successively single, few flowered inflorescence with nearly as long as the ovary, elliptic, conduplicate, subacute, imbricating, persistent on rachis after flowering floral bracts and carrying resupinate, creamy yellow flowers with the apex tinged pink.
