ORIGIN: Found in Amazonas Peru at elevations around 2880 to 3250 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing epiphyte with an erect, simple, cane-like laterally compressed, erect stem carrying 7 to 12, on the apical half, suberect, alternate, articulate, subcoriaceous, oblong-lanceolate, subobtuse, somewhat bilobed, minutely crenulate margin leaves that blooms in the early winter and summer on a terminal, racemose, arching nutant, to 12 to 13.2 [30 to 33 cm] long including the 2.4 [6 cm] long, thin, laterally compressed, somewhat ancipitose peduncle, laxly, simultaneously 30 to 40 flowered inflorescence with much shorter than the ovary, prominent, triangular, acuminate, amplexicaul floral bracts and carrying resupinate, pale orange brown flowers.
