ORIGIN: Found in western Panama on moss covered branches at elevations of 1100 to 1800 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cool growing epiphyte with simple, cane-like, arising from the basal internodes of the previous stem, terete, very short, erect, straight stems carrying 5 to 6, all along the stem, alternate, articulate, more or less fleshy, erect-spreading, linear, subacute, margin entire leaves that blooms at most any time of the year on a terminal, occurring only once, racemose, distichous, secund, peduncle laterally compressed, straight, very thin, with a tubular bract similar to the floral bracts, rachis flexuous, successively few, 7 to 9 flowered inflorescence with shorter to nearly as long as the ovary, infundibuliform, acute floral bracts and carrying resupinate, distichous, white flowers with a greenish tinge.
