ORIGIN: Found in Chiriqui Panama in cloud forests at elevations of 2000 to 3000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with simple, canelike, ancipitous towards the apex stems carrying all along the stem, linear-lanceolate, acuminate, narrowly cuneate below into the base leaves that blooms at least in the winter and spring on a terminal, pluriracemose, straight to arcuate, peduncle, long, ancipitous, bialate, 4.8 to 8 [4 to 20 cm] long, succcessively 1 to 2, 5 to 15 flowered inflorescence with 1 to 2 oblong-triangular, acute conduplicate bracts and shorter than the ovary, conduplicate, ovate-elliptic, obtuse, slightly mucronate, imbricate, completely covering the rachis floral bracts.
