DESCRIPTION: Small sized epiphyte with successive, cane-like, terete, straight, thick, the new stem arising from the middle internode of the previous stem carrying 3 to 4, aggregate towards the apex of the stems, coriaceous, oblong-lanceolate, subacute, margin entire leaves that blooms in the early summer on a terminal, racemose, nutant, arching, occurring only once, peduncle short, terete, thin, straight, successively 3, 6 flowered inflorescence with shorter than the ovary, triangular-lanceolate, acute floral bracts and carrying resupinate, non fragrant, burgundy red flowers with a green column with a reddish band near the apex.
