ORIGIN: Found in northern Ecuador on the Eastern Cordillera in humid elfin forests at elevations around 3000 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cold growing, caespitose epiphyte with cane-like, erect, simple, terete, laterally compressed stems carrying 3 to 4, all along the apical 1/3 of the stem, narrowly elliptic, acute, margin entire leaves that blooms in the winter and spring on a terminal, with 2, imbricate, conduplicate, acute-acuminate spathes, on a mature stem, erect, racemose, occurring only once, peduncle terete, 2 to 2.4 [5 to 6 cm] long, 4.8 [12 cm] long overall, simultaneously 3 to 5 flowered inflorescence with triangular, acuminate, shorter than the ovary floral bracts and carrying non-resupinate, non-fragrant flowers with the sepals and petals bronze green and the lip apple green with an occasional blotch of purple .
