ORIGIN: Found in Dak Lac Vietnam in secondary, evergreen, lowland and submontane, closed, broadleaf, shady forests with bamboo at elevations of 700 to 900 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small to medium sized, warm growing mycoheterotrophic terrestrial with no leaves with a cylindrical, slightly bent, densely hairy, fleshy, brown tuber giving rise to an erect, rigid, straight to slightly flexuous, olive brown, whitish towards the apex, 10 to 24 [25 to 60 cm] long, stem with 5 to 8, broad, ovate to narrowly ovate, obtuse bracts that blooms in the fall on a terminal, 8 to 18 [20 to 45 cm] long peduncle and a 1.6 to 6 [4 to 15 cm] long rachis carrying 4 to 10 distant flowers with narrowly triangular, rigid, deep brown, acute floral bracts.
