ORIGIN: Found in Costa Rica in premontane wet forests at elevations of 450 to 1150 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, hot to warm growing epiphyte with slender, pendent ramicauls enveloped by 8, minutely ciliate, blackish lepanthiform sheaths with minutely ciliate, ovate, acute, adpressed ostia and carrying a single, apcil, erec, coriaceous, elliptical to ovate to suborbicular, acute to subacuminate, emarginate, with a short apiculus, purplish green, rounded below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms in the late spring on a racemose, distichous, glabrous, to 1.08 [2.7 cm] long, including the .76 [1.9 cm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising on top of the leaf with ovate, acuminate, conduplicate, membraneous floral bracts.
