ORIGIN: Found in Cundinamarca and Risaralda Colombia in cloud forests at elevations around 2700 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Miniature sized, cold growing epiphyte with slender, erect, ramicauls enveloped by 8 to 12, coarsely ciliate lepanthiform sheaths with dilate ostia and carrying a single, apical, erect, coriaceous, dark purple, immature leaves ovate, acute, flat, the mature leaves spreading, narrowly ovate, acute, acuminate, revolute and undulate margined, mid rib prominent beneath, the rounded, convex and contracted below into the petiolate base leaf that blooms late spring through early fall on a filiform, subdense, [1.6 to 1.8 cm] long including ther [8 to 10 mm] long peduncle, successively single, few flowered inflorescence arising on top of the leaf.
