ORIGIN: Found in New Guinea in lowland and lower montane forests at elevations of 26 to 1000 meters.

DESCRIPTION: Medium sized, hot to warm growing, monopodial epiphyte of the hill forests occurring on twigs and tree branches in high light with stems carrying several, oblong, coriaceous, margins recurved leaves that are mottled purple beneath that blooms on a 8 [20 cm] long, pendulous inflorescence carrying has many [20 to 70], fleshy, long-lasting flowers, which open from the bottom up, all clustered towards the apex and occurring in the winter.
