ORIGIN: Found only in north Borneo in lower and upper montane forests on tree roots, branches and rocks at elevations of 1200 to 3400 meters.
DESCRIPTION: Small sized, cool to cold growing epiphyte or lithophyte with an unbranched stem enveloped completely by leaf-bearing sheaths and carrying several distichous, spreading, linear-lanceolate, linear or ligulate, coriaceous, rigid, fleshy, mid-nerve sharply carinate beneath, unequally obliquely or equally obtusely bilobed apically, narrowing below slightly into the conduplicate base leaves attenuate to the striate-nervose sheaths that blooms at any time of the year on an axillary, spreading to ascending, 9 [22.5 cm] long, laterally flattened, fractiflex, erect then arcuate, slightly fleshy inflorescence with ovate, obtuse, clasping bracts and distichous, equitant, ovate-triangular, subacute to obtuse, strongly complanate, broadly keeled dorsally, clasping, cymbiform floral bracts that carries the single successively opening, several to many flowers.
